When You Are Old

花残人已老，微霜染青丝 When you are old and gray and full of sleep,
近火犹身寒，困盹更读诗 And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
慵懒慢翻卷，浑梦忆少时 And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
眉目含柔情，幽影若秋池 Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;

清雅多妩媚，丰姿谁未识 How many loved your moments of glad grace,
姣美招怜爱，真假难自知 And loved your beauty with love false or true,
曾有少年子，惜君惠灵资 But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
愁伤红颜改，斯人独情痴 And loved the sorrows of your changing face;

伛偻倚雕栏，嚅咦叹怅辞 And bending down beside the glowing bars,
情来何所迅，爱去欲留迟 Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled
子赴青山路，君绊红尘石 And paced upon the mountains overhead
举目望群星，遍寻无踪丝 And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.
